Edward B. Putnam, Mr. Putnam is founding partner and Chief Executive Officer of NorthStar Asset Management LLC. In his role, Mr. Putnam oversees all aspects of strategic planning of the firm as well as serving on the investment policy committee.
Mr. Putnam began his career in 1976 when he joined Provident National Bank’s Trust Department (now PNC Advisors), where he served as investment unit head for high net worth individuals and families. During his fifteen-year tenure with Provident, Mr. Putnam had senior responsibility for managing investment portfolios for individuals and charitable groups as well as experience in monitoring closely held business interests and trust administration. In 1992, he joined a private investment management company headquartered in Plymouth Meeting, PA. In 2000, he and three other partners formed NorthStar Asset Management to focus on the needs of high net worth individuals and families. Mr. Putnam is also current Chairman of the Board of Directors of TouchPoint, Inc. He also serves as a director of The Pennsylvania Warehousing and Safe Deposit Company. Mr. Putnam is a past member of the Board of Trustees of Chestnut Hill Academy (now Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) where he was Treasurer and chaired the Finance Committee. In addition, he is a past President of the Fleisher Art Memorial and a former Chairman of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
He received his B.A. in History from Rollins College and his M.B.A. from the Rollins Crummer School of Finance where he received the John E. Myers Award for Academic Achievement.
